Ultra Premium (UP) Distinguishes the Best Olive Oil

A new category of olive oil, called Ultra Premium or UP has been established to distinguish high quality olive oils from around the world. This measure was in response to the ever confusing market, which has been saturated with so called “premium” and “gourmet” olive oil. Also, the mass market has begun using this terminology, confusing consumers even more. Low standards created and maintained by trade associations and agencies responsible for policing them has further confused the market. The highest quality EVOO comes from high quality fruit that also is processed using the highest quality standards.
